Default 275 on a 17x8.5 ??
The rims I want are only in a 17x8.5 but I also want no smaller than 275's.

Any thoughts?

275s will work on those, they will just bulge a little on the sidewalls. Not too bad.

I wouldn't go that high, personally! The most you SHOULD go with is 255. You really won't benefit any with 275s, so I highly discourage spending that extra money!
