Default Center caps .... What to do???

So got some used street lites, how can I go about cleaning these caps without ruining the finish? Mothers powerball and Meguires billet polish isn't cutting it?

Assuming they're aluminum, you might have to try a little coarser polish first, something like automotive rubbing compound, to get the heavy crap off first, then the Mothers or my personal favorite, Blue Magic.....

Assuming they're polished, just wetsand them.

Personally I'd do:

600 grit > 1000 grit > 1500 grit > 2000 grit > 2500 grit > polish.
