Default 285/40/18 Front and Rear?

Will a 285/40/18 Goodyear eagle F1 tire fit front and back on a stock Formula? They will be mounted on 18x9.5 wheels (I would rather run 285/35/18 all around, but those are much more expensive). Price is almost too good to pass up, but I know they are a little tall. Car is stock height, but may do the hose mod in the rear soon.
After some searching I can’t find an exact answer other than some caution about the ABS system.
Appreciate any insight. Thanks.

Rears would probably not be a problem... but the fronts may be another story.

I am running 285/35/18 all around and the fronts "rub" the plastic fender liner. They even wore a small hole through it.

Proper offset will fix inner clearance to a point.

The problem with a 285/40 is that it's taller than stock. A little over 1" taller.

ABS will work because front and rear will be proportional, but you're killing clearance, effective gearing, and will need to adjust the speedo in the PCM.

Thanks Jake, that was my fear. Best to find some near stock height tires.

IMO, go with a 275/35/18 tire size. The tire selection is really good and the prices are noticeably lower than a 285/35/18.

Are you running these on 18x9 or 18x9.5? Does it rub at full turn lockout or in general turns? What did u do to stop the rubbing if anything?
