Default Tire series for every width wheel?

I'm trying to figure out the various size tires you "should" put on any given size width wheel.

For instance:
245 series = 8" wide wheel
275 series = 9" wide wheel
285 series = 9.5" wide wheel
295 series = 10" wide wheel
305 series = 10.5" wide wheel
315 series = 11" wide wheel
325 series = 11.5" wide wheel
335 series = 12" wide wheel

Is that right?

Every tire manufacturer will give a recommended wheel width for every tire they make.
