Default Tire combination question

I am looking to get 285/40/18 Nitto 555 ZR extremes for the rear and I have 17's up front but I was thinking if it is important to get Nitto for the front or not since I can't rotate anything anyway. So what other cheaper tire would work well for the front that would compliment the Nittos in the rear?

Any reason you want a taller than stock tire in the rear? That being said why not Get NT-555's in the front. You are only going to save a little bit of money with something cheaper, and bya nd large they are a much less quality product.

I might just do that then.. What you think would be good enough for the tire size? Just stock?

Stock tire size is either 245/50/16 or 275/40/17

27.5/2.54 = 10.82677 section width * 0.40 (sidewall heigght as % of section width) = 4.3307 sidewall height * 2 = 17 (wheel diameter in inches) = 25.6614 overal height.

Your choice of tire size with an 18 inch wheel would be 26.976 tall. Your overall gearing will be reduced and the speedometer will be incorrect.

A 285/35/18 would be much closer to stock dimensions.
