Default Alignment and road crown?

Hey guys, got the car back and they did an alignment to stop the inside tire wear. I am pretty OCD when it comes to my car and I notice that the rear passenger side camber was brought more positive, which I expected but the driver side rear looks the same almost. Even if it isn't, the two are definitely not the same angle. I asked the shop and they say its for the crown of the road... has anyone heard of this?

The car doesn't drift on the road at all but my steering wheel is ever so slightly to the right when the car is going straight down the road but that has always been that way, so it's not from their alignment.

And to anyone whose had the alignment done to correct their tire wear, the shop said they had to slot the strut bolts as per instruction from GM... that is fine but has anyone had a reduction in performance when reducing the negative camber on their cars?

I've heard them mention something similar.

I've heard of running a little more CASTER on the right front of the car, in order to compensate for road crown, but never adjusting camber for that. Unfortunately, there are some cars out there that have an IRS, but no way to adjust camber. My wife used to have a Lincoln LS, and that's the way it was. The LR had about .5* more camber than the RR, and there was nothing I could do about it.......and it always bothered me, for the 9 years we owned the car.

Ya there's not an actual camber adjustment on the GXP's I don't think. they had to slot the strut mounts to do it as per GM's directions. Found another thread where the guy posted his before and after alignment numbers. His had more camber on the left even after.

So you're probably right, some cars are just this way.
