Default Backspace/offset help

This has probably already been covered before, and I apologize in advance, but every time I read a thread pertaining to what I need to know I end up more confused than I was before. I'm no wheel expert by any means

I'm wanting to purchase a set of billet specialties wheels. 17x8 front, 17x11 rear but I'm not sure what backspacing to get for the front or rear

I want all the wheels to sit about flush with the fenders, not sink in. I'm on stock suspension currently but I would like to lower it in the future if that makes a difference

Going on a trans am should the rear offset be 50mm, 36mm or somewhere in between? I haven't the slightest idea about the fronts

Any help would be greatly appreciated
