Wheels on a 1987 Buick T-type

I am looking to put 17 X 9 1/2 inch wheels with 4 3/4" back spacing on the rear of a 1987 Buick T-type and DO NOT want to notch the frame nor roll the fender wells. In particular I want the Billet Specialties Street Lite wheels. Has anybody put this size wheels on their "G" body car without a frame notch or fender well mod? If so what size tire will work? Thanks for any replies. Rich

No notching no fender-rolling, 1/8th in spacer on one side.

17X8 4.5" bs 245 45 17
17x9.5 5.0" bs 295 45 17

I have 18x9.5 Boyd coddington rears on mine, also no notching/rolling.

boostedbuford, I am VERY MUCH appreciative for that link. That is exactly what info I was looking for. I didn't think that 5" backspacing would work. I was even leery of the 4 3/4" back spacing that is why I figured that I would start a post. I do have a set of 17"X8" Billet Specialties Street Lite wheels on my wife's 87 GN and I love them. They have 4 1/4" b.s. all around. I am working on my 87 Buick T-type that I have put an LS3 Crate Motor in along with a FinishLine 4L70E trans and a Moser 9" rear. The reason that I NEED to put 17" wheels on is because I put Wilwood 13" brakes on the front and Wilwood 12" on the rear. I also want as much traction that I can get. Thanks again for the info.
