Default SLP 10 Spokes starting to fade?!?

I recently purchased a set of SLP 10 spokes from O. E. WHEEL DISTRIBUTORS
and the coper that is underneith the chrome is starting to show in some places. I heard from a friend that this not uncommon with these and SLP has a recall out and that I should contact them or go to a dealer. Is this true? What should I do?

I looked at their website and didn't find anything, I haven't called yet, was hoping on some more info first so that if they try to brush me off I can say "hold on a sec!"

You bought SLP wheels from a different co??

Have you contacted the company that you bought them from? Since they would be the company to take care of any warrantee issues . . . .
