Flitz?
Flitz? I have some low-budget polished aluminum wheels on my GTP that could use some cleaning. I've tried Mother's (in the red can) and it did a good job cleaning up the wheels, but didn't get rid of all the "stains" left from the prior owner. I've been seeing a lot about this Flitz **** (link: http://www.flitz.com/ ) and was wondering if it might be a good thing to clean/polish up these wheels. Since they're cheap and its my daily driver I'm not too worried about experimenting, but I am curious about whether this stuff is as advertised. Anybody use it and have any comments?
Did you try using that Mother's with some 000 or 0000 steel wool? Hit it with some steel wool first, then follow up with more Mother's and a soft towel for excellent results.
I've never tried Flitz or Wenol, but I used to see Wenol being used at a lot of car shows. http://www.wenol.com

Hey that wenol **** is pretty good! I picked some up at a local car show once. It brought my trucks mud stained alum wheels back to life. For better results w/ any polish I would find a buffing wheel for your drill.

I have Flitz and Mothers Billit and they both dont remove those nasty rainbow colors oil stains. I am still searching for something to use prior to Zoops. I even bought a nice set of buffs and facers from Eastwoods to polish them up.
Question: Do you use a polish on the buffs or buff after you polish?
