So I saw a post from 2010 I think of a guy with a Sunset Orange Metallic T/A that took pics of his car on a military base somewhere and his wheel set up was 18x10.5 rear and 18x9.5 front C5 Vette wheels and he has 315/35/18 Toyo drag radials on the rear. I absolutely love his set up and I'm looking to get the same staggered wheel set up for my WS6 but all I can find in that rear tire size are drag radials. My car is my DD for awhile so I hate to get a set of drag radials just to burn through them in a short period of time. Has anybody else done this set up (or one like it) with street treads or maybe a different size? Somebody help me lol this is my car. Stock suspension etc.

I wanted a drag radial, but they just don't last long enough. And in the rain they just might be sketchy, and once is all it takes to wreck.
Nitto 555 (not 555R) is what you want. 17'' is a good size, I think they make 18's too. Mine have good traction for street tires (only roast them if launching over 2k rpm) and look new after 5k of gentle street driving.

I appreciate the help man. My mom has the 555's on her '08 Mustang and she seems to like them and they look great. I've been trying to decide between 18's and 17's. My brother in law had 17's on his 99 TA and they looked great but the 18's staggered look like sex. Any idea on a tire size if I went 18's and want the meaty look from the rear end?
