Default Weld RTS Help

I'm waiting on my new rear S60 to come in,I'm trying to figure out what rims I need. I've looked at a lot of treads and I'm still not sure what to order...
The rear will be narrowed 3 in each side, I'm gonna run a 15x10 in rim,
What bs? 4.5 or 5.5, and also what pad height do I need to clear stock brakes?
I'LL be running a 275-60-15 if that makes a difference.
Thanks for your help!! If you have pics that would help also!!!

On the pad height you will need the medium pad height to clear stock brakes.

On the backspacing... Well that depends on the look you are going for.

If you want to put the wheel in the stock location you would need a 4.5 bs wheel with a 15x10. You take the stock bs of a 15x10 which is 7.5 and subtract the 3" that your narrowing to make it 4.5 for the stock location.

If you want the tucked look you would want to get the 5.5 bs wheel which would tuck it 1". Many folks have done it and it looks great. And if you don't like that much tuck you can run a small space to push it back out to your liking. Some say don't run spacers on the rear and other have also done it with no issues. That's up to you. Hope that helps you out.

Wouldn't you get 3.5" BS for a 1" tuck inside the fender?

No sir, that would make the tire sit 1" further out than stock. Joe dirt style lol. The lower the bs, the more lip you have which in turn moves the mounting surface of the wheel further in to the axle flange. Think of it like that. You get the deeper dish in the wheel so you moving the mounting surface in the wheel closer to it which then takes that inch and pushes the wheel outside. I'm not real good at explaining that. Hope I didn't confuse ya more.

On welds site, click on the rts parts, then on lugs. They have like 3 choices if I remember correctly. One of them being for 1/2 studs. That's what I have in the rear and what I did. The studs fits flush at the end of the open end lug.

I would say about 98% of the rims we sell people use the 4.5 b.s on a -3 rear and the others use a 5.5 b.s and all of the are the medium pads. It really just depends on the look you want if you use a 4.5 b.s or a 5.5 b.s and the 5.5 will tuck the wheel inside the fender. Give us a call when you are ready to place an order.
