Question Anyone Using Hub Centric Rings for TTIIs?

I've been considering getting another set of Torq Thrust IIs, I had them years before but never investigated availability of hub centric rings for this application. I'm wondering if anyone has ever bothered to use these with TTIIs on their 4th gen.

When I had these wheels previously, I did have some vibration at certain expressway speeds, it varied depending on road surface but was noticeable. I always just assumed it was likely a poor balancing job as some other wheel/tire combos, which were hub centric to begin with, had also exhibited similar vibrations on this car in the past - and some had not. In any event, I've used rings for other aftermarket wheel combos on different vehicles and thought it might be worth considering for these as well.

There seems to be some conflicting data on center bore size for the TTII. I've found two different figures: 83.06mm and 83.1mm. I can find a set of rings that are 70.3mm ('98+ F-body hub diameter) ID to 83.1mm OD, but none that have an OD of 83.06mm specifically (though it may not matter as, again, some sources list 83.1mm as the correct wheel center bore.) I wonder what the manufacturing tolerances are for these rings (or even the wheels for that matter), as 0.04mm is basically a microscopic difference that I doubt would matter (and if it did, could be corrected with some light sanding.)

So has anyone used rings for these wheels, and if so did you go with the 83.1mm OD figure?

When I got my TTMs, the previous owner was using hub-centric rings. He had a 2000 Camaro, and when I went to put them on my 95, I couldn't get the wheel to fit.

At first, I didn't realize they were on there. I was getting aggravated to the point where I was shoving as hard as possible to get the rim on the hub. When I finally pulled the rim off to do some sanding, one of the rings fell off on the ground. After I took all of them out, I seemed to have a snug fit. Didn't get to drive the car more than around the neighborhood yet due to snow, so I have no clue if it's going to vibrate or not.

If the previous owner was running them on his 2000, I imagine someone either recommended that he run them, or he got vibrations and decided to run them. From what I hear, the LT1 hubs are just a bit larger, so I can't run this specific size ring on my car.

TTMs apparently have a 72.6mm center bore diameter, so our applications are a bit different.
