Got my nt05r mounted . 275-40-17. On the street at 29psi(cold) in 50 degree weather. There is a huge difference in traction vs nt05 I was previously running. Very happy with them!!! I'm sure at the track with lower psi/higher outside temp they will hook well. I'm still debating "water box or no water box" as from what I've read its 50/50 who do and Don't . Never had to do a proper burn out before and don't want to overheat or leave water on my tires. Some say do a 1-2 sec dry burnout some say water box it and do 5-8 sec?

Try just turning them over a second to clean them off on your first run. If that doesn't work then do a good burn out. I ran those tires several years ago and remember them not requiring a crazy long burn out. They were on a heavy under geared gto though

Ok I'll try that first. I'm a Bolton /3600 yank t/a / 3:23 . Hoping to run lower 12? I ran 12.952 at 109.18mph without the 3600 last year on nt05 with crappy 2.120. I went with frost tune for now so I hope lower 12 is doable? Track opens in 2 weeks? What you guys think is realistic time? I also went from slp lid to volant setup which does seal nicely to my ram air hood. The filters sit directly in the hood scoops.

Definitely think low 12'is doable with your set up. If you don't succeed the first time, just be patient. It's going to be completely different with the stall and sticky tires. Just play with it and see what works best

On the street I would run them at 27-28 psi hot to avoid cupping.
At the track I would run them at 17-18 psi. Use the water box and do a nice burnout. Let them smoke for a few seconds, they need heat.
I was able to cut consistent 1.7 60' with those tires with about your same setup

Here is a video of me making a pass on the nt05r. That is about how long I did a burnout every pass at a track with poor track prep and tires at 17 psi hot

When I say hot I mean the air in the tires. So probably around 25 cold. Just check them after a long drive.

Lots of 12.4's @ 110 mph on both the nt05r's and my et streets. A best of 12.3
I think I could of even knocked a good tenth off that if I would of changed out the stupid k&n fipk for something that will allow my car to breath instead of taking in hot air.
I see no reason you can't knock 4 tenths off your 60' alone and run a 12.1 @ 112 mph
