Default Help with wheel size!

I'm looking into getting a new set of wheels and tires for the ss. Only fear I have is that I'm worried the tires will rub once I put them on. I'm lowered with the heater hose mod and have umi suspension front to back. I'm looking at a set of 315/35/17. Does anyone know if these will fit under the back end of the car with the ungrades done to it?

They should. Even if the rub slightly it is a very easy fix. I ran the same before with BFH mod.

Okay good cause I didn't feel like taking a mallet to the wheel well for the 17 x 10.5 in the back. I am having trouble with finding a right wheel though. Fiske and Boze are way too expensive

It's all about offset to minimize "fitting" them. On an 11" wheel, shoot for a +44 to 45mm offset. Minor BFH, expect to roll the fender.

Look into Weld, Billet Specialty maybe even Simmons. They are a bit pricey but not Fikse pricey*

Well now plans have changed cause theres no way I'm rolling the quarter panel. New plan is new rear end s60 and shorter so I can run a fatter tire with a deeper dish.

Why not roll the fender lip? hell of a lot easier and cheaper than buying a custom rear end. You will still have to modify the inner fenders too..

You should be able to find some 17x10.5 wheels that will fit without rolling fenders or a new rear. I believe both the Torq Thrust Ms and the Billet Specialties Streetlites come in nice offsets that should fit with maybe only a little inner wheel well massaging.

Lol....that doesn't change anything. You're still limited to the "envelope" size of the fender to fit the tire. My rear is narrowed...still have an 11" wheel....still a 315 series tire....just a different offset....still rolled the fenders.

If you're gonna want a 10.5 or bigger you'll have to do some "motifying" to make em fit

So say I run an 11" wide wheel with the 315 on it, will it still bolt up to my 10 bolt rear end and fit with some minor adjustment to the inner wheel well and with the Heater hose on the rear springs? I have fully adjustable suspension in the back which will help but will be looking to change out the 10 bolt down the line for something a little more stronger.

Yep it will fit fine. I'm running 17x11 with a 315 and I'm lowered as well.
