Default WS6 clear coat peeling off

Is it possible to strip the clear coat off WS6 wheels and just polish the aluminum?
Has anyone done it successfully?

Yup. A lot of people have done this. Just buy some aircraft stripper from any auto parts store and it'll come right off after 2-3 applications. The brush on kind is better than the aerosol spray.

Then hit them with your favorite metal polish and you're good to go.

You get a deeper shine than you would out of the clear coat, but you should research the upkeep that bare aluminum wheels require. I wouldn't do it on a daily unless I lived somewhere with year round beautiful weather. If your car is a weekend toy, go for it!
