Default Street Comp vs ExtremeContact DWS

I had a similar thread here before but didn't get a lot of traction (pun intended). My car is getting some much improved suspension parts underneath so I'm going to need something better as far as rubber is concerned. These will be primarily street tires, if I go to the strip I mooch DRs off of a friend and if I get more serious about Auto-x I need 18's all around anyways. I have no desire to squeeze an 18" DR in the back.

I have narrowed it down to either Mickey Thompson's street comp or Continental's ExtremeContact DW, sizes are:

Front: 275/40r17
Rear: 295/35r18

I love the looks of my classic forgelines too much to swap wheels on the street.

CORRECTION: Not the DWS I meant the DW

Guess I sorted my own question. I wasn't able to get any info that I would be significantly more happy with the street comps, also they are much more of a hassle to get. Set of 4 Conti Extremecontact DW tires are en route, hopefully my shocks and sways show up this week so I can get everything on and pick up tires next week!

I have the extreme contact dw's on mine in the same size rears. I like them, and they provide good traction with a quite ride.

That's good to hear, I'm hoping I don't regret digging a little deeper to get a set of Michelins, but I couldn't find any indication that I would see much of an improvement especially on the street.

^^^One has to dig A LOT 'deeper' to get the Pilot $uper $ports, but, from what I hear about them , it IS worth it.

Fair Couldn't get the super sports in the correct sizes anyways.
