Need new tires

Need new tires I have a 00 TA, bolt on mods, koni/strano suspension, no real racing (street or drag)
I was leaning towards the nitto 555s, but now the G2s are out. Anyone have any experience with them? Any other suggestions? I like the price point of the Nittos and the reviews on the 555s have been solid overall, can't find much on the G2s.

I just put a set of the G2s on my 01 WS6. 275/40R17 When they came off the truck the rubber was a little firmer than I expected. They grip well for what they are, nothing like an extreme performance summer tire though. Wasn't as much grip as I had hoped but definitely an improvement over the Kumho's I had on before. It was acceptable to say the least.
What I was most surprised about was the ride quality and noise level of the tires. Usually directional tires can be a little noisy. These were not, and the ride quality was leaps and bounds above what I expected. However, these were not really attributes I was looking for nor cared about when purchasing these tires, but if it is your daily driver they are a great choice IMO.
Due to unexpected events, I just purchased a set of CCWs and a new set of BFG Rival S tires, these should get much better grip at the cost of longevity of course. Just have to wait 5 more weeks for my wheels to come in though...
I sell tires for a living if that raises your opinion of my review any.

I don't want to do an extreme summer perf tire as the car will be driven in the cold (never when it's wet out) and I'm in NJ so I'll drive it when it's mid 40s out.
I also like the idea of some longevity, so do you think the 555 g2s are a good overall tire?

I'm about 1300 miles in (2 yrs) on my BFG sport Comp 2's and I've had no handling issues with them (ultra high perf summer tire)....they could be a tad quieter. I take the car out routinely in 30-40 deg New England weather when the roads are clear. $70 rebate currently in effect on several major brands. Nitto 555 are a good choice too. Continental DW would be another good choice imo.

And you can't hardly beat the price point of these tires!
The contis and BFGs mentioned here are also good choices
