Sliders Hi. I'm new so be nice. I need help and Mr. Man (hubby) has no time for the inquisitive one. He put Sumitomo HTR A/S po2 (225/45/R17, 245/40/r17) on my 2008 350 CLK. For some reason the rear keeps loosing traction and sliding out. (50 mph + up) What's wrong? This tire is known for handling all weather. I travel through canyons in the high desert so I need to be able to take the curves even with some moderate speed. Is it me, the tires, or mechanical? THX in advance.

How old are the tires and how heavy is your right foot?
I for one have never had great luck with sumitomos providing great traction. They have all been an inexpensive tire which is good for all around use but not great on traction.

This. Sumitomos are decent, but that's it. They're a budget tire.

Tires been on 3 weeks. The reviews stated the tires are know for sticking. My foot is heavy so I was shocked to slide at 45. I guess I thought it could be explained but no.
