Mickey Thompson issues?

Mickey Thompson issues? I have been running a set of 275-50-15 MT Dr's in the rear since last fall. They have roughly 1500 miles on them. I had to send one back because it needed so much weight to balance the weights would not clear the calipers.
So anyway I finally get a good set mounted up, both only needed 1/4 to 1/2oz of weight. They drove smooth all the way up to this summer when I started noticing a nasty vibration. It had me chasing my tail...I pulled the drive shaft and had it rebalanced with new u joints, 4 wheel alignment, replaced trans mount with new stock...etc. Still had the damn vibration and all the weights were still in tact on the wheels.
I said F it and took all 4 wheels back to the tire shop...the fronts were off a little but not terrible, but the DR's all of a sudden needed 6oz of lead to balance. Put them back on and they are back to smooth again.
So my questions are; what would cause this? Rims spun in the tires? Possible belt issue? Anybody else ever deal with a similar issue? I have had weights fall off in the past and obviously would cause a vibration, but that is not the case here.
