So here's my dilemma- last spring I bought a set of gunmetal C6 Z06 wheels from OE Wheels that were on closeout. Due to other stuff I haven't purchased tires yet.
Fronts are 18x8.5 with an offset of 46mm & backspacing of 6.56"
Rears are 18x10.5 with an offset of 56mm & backspacing of 7.95"
I'm on OE Wheels ZR1s now: 17x9.5s with 275/40/17s and 17x11s with 315/35/17s (Nitto NT05s)
So I track the car and and am planning an LS3 build that will have north of 500hp to the ground. I'm really thinking the 'new' front Z06 wheels aren't wide enough and am probably going to be understeering like mad AND sliding in braking zones (more braking force than tire grip) after upgrading from C5 brakes to 6 piston CTSV's.
So now I'm thinking about having the fronts widened 1" or 1.5" or just selling them for something else wider but still 18s and 10.5 or 11" for the rears.
