Default 18" wheels for a $1000 budget.

I'm looking for some decent quality wheels for a $1000 budget give or take $100. I've seen the replica Corvette wheels everyone has but I want something higher quality. Any Recommendations? My car is a 99 Z28 with 6 Piston Brembos in front. I'm currently running C5 Z06 but I've grown bored of them. Looking forward to hearing whatever you guys suggest.

I just picked up some TSW Nurburgring 18x9 and 18x10.5 for my car. They are rotary forged and super lightweight. Definitely would be in the right price range, and they come in the correct bolt pattern too.

Do you have any pictures you can share, and where did you buy these from?

You talking about $1k just for wheels or wheels and tires?

not really. I have them bolted up, using a 20mm hubcentric spacer on the rear (I have corvette offsets). They fit great and look good too on my TA. But the car is up on jack stands in my garage for the winter.

Push your budget to $1,400 or less.......get some badass custom chrome (from one of the best chrome plating companies in the country) and widened (by theeee best widener in the country) 18" rims......that will fit 315, 325, 335, or 345 tires.......(depending on how much you widen them of course).

From start to finish...2-3 weeks.

Why would you spend that much money on what amounts to cut up and refinished chinese made cast wheels? You can buy a new unmolested set of your exact setup for $750 from OE Wheels.

And if you are spending $1400 why would you even entertain a set of cast heavy *** wheels?

Because the OE Wheels were tested and inspected in California....they are actually extremely strong and well made. And the way I did it, I have the best chrome plating quality you can find....along with wider rims to use wider tires.

And the problem with OE Wheels is....their chrome plater in China is the worst quality garbage in the world. But they look great and they are wider than most other brands offer, unless you want to pay thousands of $$$ for rims. If you still want skinny 275 tires or 295 tires...then yes, OE Wheels as they come are pretty good. But if you want big *** tires like 325/335/345.......you'll need wider rims then OE Wheels offers or any $1,000 set I've ever seen.

And when the widening is done properly and by a professional....they are as strong as they were before, and they pass all GM side load tests at the company I used.

I just don't want the skinny tires on my rears any more......some people like little tires.
