Default 17inch or 18inch Torq Thrust m

Getting ready to order new wheels and tires for my 4th generation Trans AM. I plan on going with the American Racing Torq Thrust m in Chrome. My question is should I go with 17 or 18 inch wheels? I'm going to run all 4 tires the same size so it will either be a 275 40-17 or a 275 35 18 all the way round. I'm open to any and all opinions or advice. And please post pictures if you have them on your car

I've been on the original set of 16's, 3 sets of 17's, 2 sets of 18's, and 1 set of 19's over the years. The best option for performance on the street is 17x9 or 9.5 IMO with 275/40/17 tires. You've got enough sidewall to get good traction at the red-light, and better ride and handling than an 18" or 19" rim and are also usually a little lighter than 18" or 19" rims. That being said, the 18's do look better than any other rim size on the 4th Gen. F-Body and if you're mainly concerned with cornering, then the 18" rim will have a slight advantage over the 17" rim. So decide what your preferences are before making a decision.

I'm currently back on 17's and enjoy the ride better than 18's and most definitely better than the 19's!
