2000z28camaro

i have C5 Z06 rims with 295/35zr18 on the rear and am in need of new rear tires. I don't drive my camaro daily anymore so I can't justify buying $350+ piece tires for it anymore. My question is can I go from 295 to 275/35zr18?

How wide is the wheel?

If they are real C5 Z06 wheels then the rear should be 10.5in wide, that is going to look like crap with a 275 tire on it, at that point its pointless to have the Z06 wheel and you might as well have a stock SS wheel as those have 275s from the factory.
Where are you buying tires from as well? $350+??? What tires, michelin pilots made for supercars?
Have you check discounttiredirect or shopped around at all? Im seeing tires starting at $229 for that size...

check out tire rack for continental extreme contact sport tires.
they are listed at 262 a piece and since the car isn't a dd anymore , expected life should be plenty before a change is needed. I use the same tire in 295//35/17.
