Default What wheel size is good?

I have a 99 camaro with aftermarket 18" rims on front and back. Right now I am using 225/40/18 and I just don't like the tire size for the car , they look too small. I want beefier tires wider and thicker. Any suggestions for 18" wheels that won't scrub? And any pictures so I can get an idea of the stance ?

Offset: 35mm
Brand: Mach
Name: ME3

18 x 8

What wheels do you have or what size are they? That plays a role in what tires you can run.

Yeah, that likely would look dumb. I don't think I've ever seen that small of a tire on a 4th gen. With that wheel biggest you can go to a 245/40R18. You can use tirerack to determine the max width tire for an 8inch rim. If you want to go any wider you need a new wheel.

275/40R17 was the largest factory size. With the right offset you can fit a 315 front and rear, so you can go much larger with no issue.

Agreed.

I would say you should sell those and find a similar style (c5 z06 wheel looks similar) that comes in a wider size. Going from 225 to 245 will look better but still look goofy especially on the rear.

This is my thread, 18x9 +50 with 285/35-18s. Plenty wide and they fit no problem. Same offset and width as a stock wheel.
