Help matching wheel goals
Hey guys, I'm looking for new wheels to open up new tread compounds. Car is a daily driver and it's NBM in color, prefer function over fashion, but they can't be outright ugly. Will a 5x120 bolt pattern be close enough to our 5x120.65 bolt pattern to be usable?
I will be running a square setup, and my goals at this time are:
* Wheels need to be 18" in diameter
* Wheels need to be light (<22lbs)
* Ability to properly fit a 285-315mm tire.
* Spoke style which is conducive to fitting big brake kit upgrades
* Small or no outside lip to reduce how much brake dust accumulates between washing
* <$500/wheel
I've documented the following, are there others I should consider?
TSW Nurburgring 18x10.5, @$270, 21.5lbs

Forgestar F14 18x11, 21lbs, @$375

House of Wheels OEM Z06 Speedlines 18x10.5, , @$425, 20.11lbs

I was looking into other wheel options for my "99 Camaro and I believe BMW uses a 5x120 pattern, I've seen where some folks say you shouldn't, but I believe the difference is like several sheets of paper!!!

Looking through this thread, it seems that Forgestar was having coating problems back in 2013, I wonder if that has been resolved?

I think I prefer the look of the TSW also, and it's more unique than the Speedline. I'm trying to save weight wherever I can, and the Speedline is a pound lighter.. albeit it's cast vs rotary forged like the TSW & F14. Can't find any wheel in this price range (or even Forgelines) that warranty for race use, I'll wait to see what the BBK reseller has to offer on wheel fitment and go from there.
