96 as wheel swap Ok guys I need some help I did a little research and I pretty much know what I want but I hate spending money and parts or products not being right so I'm getting some opinions so I just bought my 96 z28/ss it still has stock ss wheels on it and I want z06 wheels cause I just like the look I have a friend the has a 95 z with c6 wheels and there close to 14 inches wide and that's fine my problem is I'd like a pretty close to stock front and at least 10 in the rear I'd like them to stick out to the edge of the quarter panel but I have no idea of the backspacing or offset I need anyone have this set up ????? 😕😕😕
Stock C6 wheels are nowhere near that wide. I believe the base c6 wheels were 18x8.5 and 19x9.5 or something like that. Either way, they don't fit well as is. Your best bet is to buy some wheels from OE Wheels that are made in the correct offset for your car.
