How durable are the big $$ wheels?
My daily driver is a truck.... so hitting pot holes isn’t the end of the world.
Unfortunately that gives me bad habits when I’m driving my car....
I’m curious: if I ended up with some nice Weld Wheels, Fikse, or the equivalent, would my day be ruined if I hit a pot hole?
I’d hate to spend that kind of money, hit a pot hole (there are plenty ‘round these parts) and then have to buy a new wheel because it’s warped.

I have Welds and unfortunately have hit some large potholes with them with no bending. usually the expensive wheels are forged aluminum which makes them much stronger than the cheaper cast stuff.
FWIW I drive my truck like I drive my car, so avoiding potholes at all costs is not out of the question for me. saves ball joints and wheel bearings and such even on trucks.....js

Any wheel will damage with excessive abuse, some wheels are better quality and will withstand more abuse, but I’d just try to avoid the abuse. I also have weld rts wheels and have had no issues, but I also can’t tell you I’ve hit a bunch of potholes. My car is a race car, and I’ll use it as such.
Fyi, I was pretty impressed with this picture of my particular wheel. Granted this is an extreme situation, the center is amazing in tact. If this were a cast wheel it would have definitely broke off at the spokes and did a lot more damage to he car imo.
