Default Grinding bump stops ?

I’m fitting some rear 315s nitto g2 in the back had to grind where the bumpstop was the extra metal holding the bump stop but. Tire was hitting it I still have the bump stops but they’re not on will the car be fine without them ? And did I ruin the car by doing that ? :/ kinda regret it but wheels look amazing torq thrust 2s

There is a reason that the engineers put the bump stops there. Now with them gone, be careful driving it and having the top of the tired thrashing into the top of the fender well on bumps. I suppose the shocks will limit that some.

Thousands of these cars run around with no bumpstops so no, you didn't "ruin" your car. The bumpstops limit the rear differential travel but depending on ride height, weight, tire size etc they may or may not actually prevent the tire from rubbing the quarter panel wheel opening.

I cut mine completely off then re-welded them inbound to clear my wheels/tires.

I used the common Jeep urethane bump stops on my last car and my current car. Just cut off the lip and bolt on, works great for lowered/wide wheels.

I just used a grinder to grind the bracket down when I ran 11" rears. I had a couple of different 11" wheels on the back and they worked fine with the grinded brackets.

No bump stops sucked *** cause when you hit a big bump the rear end slams the frame and it's loud. Can also bend the axle tubes so it's not a good plan.

I bought new GM ones, the urethane ones are a little harsh for me personally
