NT555R vs NT05R This is information that I think is worth sharing on these 2 tires as I hope it helps someone one day. I race my car at paved oval 1/3 mile track. heads up racing 1 or 2 laps, starting from a dig. I run 17x9 wheels on all 4. The first few races I ran 555r, 100 tread wear, on the rear two and NT05, 200 tread wear, on the front two. I had massive understeer. I was hesitant to put a drag radial on the front because they say they are soft for launching, but the NT05s have an advertised stiffer sidewall which is why I put them up front. last race I said f it and put the drag radials up front. Im usually going 50 or 60MPH in the turns. The car stuck like it was on rails up front. The NT05s, on the track, performed poorly. The 555r on all 4 corners did the trick. I will put link to the video of the last race. Im in the black 95 Firebird first at 9:42 and subsequently.

I’ve driven friends cars with RE71R and they are great tires too. My car, with 555r handles great and is good off the line. The point of this post is just to let people know the 555R can be used on the front in autocross or circle track racing.
