Will Fikse refinish some wheels I already have? The centers have some etching in the technipolish I'd like to get fixed.

So, sadly, this is the downside to the Technipolish finish - There’s know way to refinish them back to their original appearance. It’s basically a freshly CNC milled forging that’s then sprayed with a high temp clear. Once you cut down through that clear, you start to hit and impact the appearance of the mill work making it look dull.

Really, the only option is to have them either painted or powder coated if you want them refinished. Which we can do, but it would be much less costly (due to shipping back and forth) to have them done by a local shop.

Sorry for the bad news! It’s such a gorgeous finish but should really be reserved for show ponies in my opinion.

If it is just a clear is it possible to strip the clear and just polish the raw aluminum?

Yes, people have done that too but it's obviously a bit more work intensive. I've also seen folks with very light blems in the clear wet sand them out to look nearly new.

Is it possible to replace just the centers? The hoops are fine. What are we taking about for cost on 17's?

Don't mind how filthy they are.

Hey Danny random question I have never researched but I'm curious as my hands are sore after a good polish on the hoops of my FM10s. Do you guys recommend any products to use on the polished aluminum to help keep them clean in between washes and polishes?

No, nothing specific. I've always found Mother's Aluminum Polish works well though.

I'm in Lakeland. If you ever want to get rid of those wheels let me know. I have a 99 SS the same color as yours.

Remember a TA on the front cover of GMHTP magazine and had Fiske wheels on it. Very good looking!
