C-5 Wheel Question - Final thought stage Gentlemen,
In my neverending quest to put tires and wheels on my '98 Z28 for less money than I actually paid for the car itself, may I offer the following: on the front 275/40/17 Nitto Road Race tires mounted on 17x8.5 Corvette C-5 wheels. On the rear, 315/35/17 Nitto Drag Radials mounted on 17x9.5 Corvette C-5 wheels. Can anyone think of any problems here or any reason why this wouldn't work? Thanks for taking the time to respond. I've been asking a lot of tire and wheel questions lately, but I sure do appreciate the help. I'm getting close to making the final decision. Thanks again. - Tom

That would be a mess. Ultra stiff sidewall tires on the front and ultra soft sidewall tires on the rear would equate to sloppy, inprecise handling. Where did you come up with that combo?
