Nitto 555 fitment question...
I'm thinking of getting some 295/45/18 Nitto 555's (not 555R) for the rear. The only problem is my wheel is only 8.5" wide and the Nitto website recommends a 9.5" minimum wheel width. I currently have 285/50's and they fit fine. Do you think these tires would fit or would it cause to much of a bulge?
Thanks
Thanks

Sounds messed up to me, that tire height isn't right for a 18" wheel, should be a 35 series. And I wouldn't run a 295 on that 8.5" wheel, won't fit right. I would stick to a 275/35/18 on that rim. And you are running a 50 series on a 18" tire? Weird I run 285/35/18's on my 18x10.5 Z06 rim and it fits great, a 295 is doable on that width, but Nitto doesn't make a regular 555 in a 295

First off, I'd say it is for a truck . . . sig?
It's just weird that the Nitto site recommends a minimum 8" wheel for my 285/50 404's but a minimum 9.5" wheel for a 295/45 555. Seems like it should only be half an inch difference between the two.

I would not go any larger than the 285 on that wheel bro, just to be safe, the tire will buldge too much and if something goes wrong with the tire, you are SOL if you try to get it warranteed.
