As the title says I am thinking of going this direction in my car but havent found any decent examples of this finish on wheels of a fbody. I tried asking in Facebook but boy what a group of people pollute that site! More than 98% percent of responses were either chrome wheels or black wheels. Apparently the black chrome finish is poorly known there,

I've always liked black chrome myself. For a long time I wanted to do it to my ZR1's after I saw someone else that had done something similar. Maybe if money becomes no issue in the future I'll do it, or if something happens to the rims and they need to be addressed that would knock them up the list a couple of rungs in importance. Hey man! Thanks! I decided to go a different route with the car. In fact this was my original plan. I made a rough photoshop. Im going with with triple bronze powder coated wheels:
I want a cleaner updated look. Car will have the sail panel changed as well as a better fitting Ram Air hood. Full LED conversion, new Konis, no door trims, no badges (almost none). Got bored with the previous look.
Look up Helios Coating in Ohio, they did my GMC Denali Wheels. They do any powder coating you want, I had mine powder coated chrome (I know you want black chrome) and they look better than dipped. And best part is the barrels look just as clean and no flaking.
