Default Hub Centric Ring?

I was just about to order my wheels and tires and noticed that the hub bore on the wheels i want are 83.06. I have some other wheels in my wishlist that are 72.60.
I searched the sticky and didn't see anything about hub bore. Do I need hub centric rings?

You can try without it at first. Some wheels and cars can get away with it.
if it’s a problem, order up some centering rings

Thanks. I've never worried about hub sizes before on any of my cars.

they are cheap enough - i got aluminum ones off amazon. stay away from the plastic ones. also, a good idea to put anti-seize on them before placing them on the rotor/hub.

I've used them in some applications, but I didn't use any when I had the TTIIs on my '98 Z28. There was a small amount of additional high speed vibration with those wheels (sans the rings), but it wasn't really a fair comparison to the old wheels as the tires were also different and/or maybe they just weren't balanced as well.

I've used the plastic ones before on other applications, didn't have any issues with that at all. What's nice about plastic is that they don't bond to the hub. As mentioned above, if you're going to use metal then apply some anti-seize otherwise they might be very hard to remove.

If you are using acorn lug nuts the wheels should self center.

Hub-centric mounting is a large factor stronger overall than lug centric,
not likely an issue on most stock vehicles but on some its mandatory..

End use is the main thing. (ON my jeep its mandatory on the rear even before I swapped in the L33. )
Had trouble with AL rims cracking, Found a set of hub centric replacements problem never re-occurred.
