never had flat spots with my MT ET street radials. I live where it gets very cold.
Otherwise, I agree with the method of airing the tires up to max rated PSI (usually 44-52psi for the Z-rated tires I have owned) and parking on some sort of soft material (I use rubber backed carpeting, to block moisture under the whole car and give some cushion to the tires). I've had no issues with any permanent flat-spotting either, but I haven't personally done this with an ET Street.
