Default Lug nuts

Really random question I know, but I have an 01 Firehawk with 17’s and the lug nuts with the black plastic beauty cap. Basically I must have put them on way too tight cuz I was going to do the brakes and could barely get them off. I got 4 off, stripped out my lug wrench, broke my (1/4 in) impact, and fused a socket to one of the lugs. I *cannot* get the lug out of the socket, and even if I can, it and another one are rounded. Taking a cursory internet look, I can’t find any lugs like mine threaded on both ends for the beauty cap. TBH idgaf about the beauty cap as I plan to get new rims and tires this year or next, but it would be nice to get it back how it was til I can get the new rims and tires. Does anyone know of where to get the dual threaded lug nuts that accept the beauty caps like it had stock?

GM part number for these is 09594683 (replaces 10194314). I ordered 4 of these for my '98 back in 2004 so I could get rid of the factory locking nuts on each wheel, and the 9594683 pieces were a proper match (other than being sliver vs. gold, but you won't see that once the plastic cap is on anyway).

SLP used to sell sets (20) of these for a really good price, with new caps too, but they don't list this any more. But GM still does (though list price is $11.30 per nut).

Thanks for the response, but unless they have changed thing since you last posted it those are not double sided lugs.

09594683 is definitely a "double sided" (threads inside and out, for the lug stud as well as the "beauty" cap) lug nut. Here is some photographic evidence; you can clearly see the outer threads for the caps:

I don't think GM would use the same part number for a lug nut that does not have outer threads. Such a change would warrant a new number as it would defintiely cause an issue with various lug caps, integrated center caps, and full wheel covers that are anchored by these lug caps (it's a pretty common lug nut used on many different GM cars).

Again, I have bought these for my 4th gen F-body in the past and, at that time, they are exactly the same as stock other than the color (just as pictured above).

Any GM dealer will have these on the shelf. I haven't seen them in parts stores, which is surprising given how common they were across many models.

The experience with the nut galling is common. I had this problem on Pontiacs all the way back to the 90s for this style lug nut. I have always kept several spares in my tool box for this type of eventuality. (Along with a few extra caps, which get tossed to the side of the road from time-to-time.)
