Default 18” Torq thrust help.

I’ve been trying to buy some 18” Torq thrust wheels for weeks now, and everytime I go to buy them and ask a second opinion someone tells me they won’t fit etc. Car is 1996 Z28, these are the ones I was going to buy all round. I want them to fit like the car in the image below. American racing recommends 18x7 but to me that would seem far too thin of a rim.

If you are stock and trying to put 18 x 10 it will not fit, at least not without an adjustable panhard bar to shift the rear end left and right, also need the right backspacing.

Thankyou very much for the reply, have you got any idea the correct size to buy? American racing recommends the 18x7 ones on their website for my car, but are they not way too narrow for wheels?

Wheels & Tires: Everything you should need to know is in here. A Must Read!!!!!!! - LS1TECH - Camaro and Firebird Forum Discussion

sticky at the top of the page has all the offset ans size info you need for these cars.

FWIW the stock salad shooters that come on these cars are 16x8, later SS cars came with 17x9 wheels so an 18x7 is a downgrade in my opinion. i fit 18x10.5 on all 4 corners of my car pretty easily, no issues in the front and a little clearencing in the rear plus rolling fenders because it is lowered on coilovers, have seen plenty of other cars fitting 17x11 on all 4 corners as well so it is doable. there is also a ton of info on this site about torq thrust fitment, they have been pretty popular over the years on these cars.
