Default Race Star alternative

Is there a Chrome equivalent of Race Stars? Why in the hell they don't sell a chrome version of those wheels is beyond me. I refuse to spend an entire day of my life just to try and get one wheel looking half way decent. If I had known how hard it is to get these things to look half way decent I would have never bought them.

I like the design and look. I just hate this polished steel ****. I'll never own another polished wheel the rest of my life. I just want something I can spray and wipe off and it looks good. End of story.

Thanks.

You can clearcoat them.

Yep, I agree. After owning a set of polished TTIIs I will never again own any bare polished aluminum wheel. Not worth the time or effort, even for a garage queen (which mine was, yet simple moisture in the air would dull them).

As the guys above mentioned, you can have them clearcoated to avoid the need for re-polishing. At that point, all you have to do is wax them every so often to keep the clear coat healthy and protected, like any other type of paint.

There are a lot of hand applied sealers out there that will help slow oxidation. I used a sealer on my Boyd’s that cut polishing down to once a year (garage queen). You may be able to ceramic coat them to get longer lasting protection.
