Default Im In A Dilemma

what would be the correct tire size for an 18x9.5 wheel. I know that they both fit but what are the main differences. Ride quality, performance, ect. 245/40 18 and 275/35 18. The 275 is wider os that would be that more tire is in contact with the gound? I dont understand the number 40, the aspect ratio. Is the tire with an aspect ration of 40 taller than the tire with an aspect ratio of 35?

Call them and explain the situation. Depends if they shipped yet or not.

I had ordered a set of 275/35/18s but ended up going with a set of 19s. They took them back no questions asked. I'm out the cost of shipping (>$50), but that's better than taking a bigger hit trying to resell them.

The guys at DTD are good, and customer service is pheonominal. Call them and talk to them.

I will most likely get the 245/40 18 instead of the 275/35 18 because of the price unless anyone responds with a reason.

OK, you changed your original post. To answer your question, I would go with the 275/35/18 on the 18x9.5 rim. The sidewall on both sizes, the 245 vs. 275 will be the same, but the 275 will fit the 9.5" rim much better than the 245. The 245's will fit better with a 8" wide rim, and personally I don't think they will look right on a 9.5" rim.

Its up to you. Good luck wiht your decision.

Definitely a 275/35ZR18 . . . anything narrower will look silly . . . . The rim will be wider than the tire . . . ick.
