315's do not fit a 9" rim
11" is the minimum size
a 315 will physically hold air on a 9" rim, just as you can physcially fit a 5" exhaust tip to a Honda Civic. but this is nothing short of ricing out your car.
Why are you putting 315s on your car?
Traction? A 275 on a 9" rim lays flat and has better traction on a 9" rim than a 315 of the same tire type on a 9" rim.
Handling? A 275 is more stabilized on a 9" rim than a 315, and thusly provides better handling.
Looks? Putting a 315 on the wrong rim makes you look about as cool as a 4cylinder Honda Civic with 200 pounds of body work and a stupid spoiler.
Good Gawd won't you people learn......
The problem with the internet is folks giving out bad, or sorely mis-informed information. Just because something fits doesn't mean its right, correct, or even remotely safe. We have cover this on this and other boards there is a reason why tires too big or too small for a rim are not recommended. Its not that folks are trying to be mean, or that they don't want you to have big fat tire on your car. Its just that its isn't the correct way to do things.
There are lots of things you can do in a whole lot of fields to "bend" the rules. You may never have an issue from doing so. It doesn't give you the right to discount the correct way of doing things because folks are too cheap to buy the right wheel for the tire they want to run.
It doesn't make somone an **** ***** for pointing out a safety issue, and the correct way to do something.

Those look pretty sweet tucked under the back of that beast.
