Default Question for Todd@DiscountTireDirect

Since he seems to have PM's turned off, i'll go ahead and drop a message in here with the hopes he catches it before it is burried.

Basicly I wondered if he could give me some tech info on a wheel I am looking into for the GTO. If he knows about the Privat Fahren in 18x8 and 18x9, will those fit the GTO properly front and rear without major tweaking? Also, do they make a 19x8.5 or 19x9 that would fit the rear? I've always thought a +1 front and +2 rear looks best on fast RWD cars. (IE: Corvette, Porsche, etc) Lastly, can anyone tell me any weight specs on these wheels?

And incase anyone knows who might catch this post, does anyone know the weight of the stock 17x8" GTO wheels without tires?

Bump for Monday morning. BTW, does anyone know his extension? I'd just call but it would be a lot easier to dial directly to his extension.

888-459-4080 This is the only number I know, try e-mailing him.

I will leave this open for someone to post his extension, but this is not the way to get ahold of him.

Thanks,

Ahh, well be it he has his PM's turned off and I tried to shoot an email with no reply, I'll try the phone instead. Sorry to post direct messages to sponsors, I kinda want to do business with them but it'd be easier if I could get in contact with them easier. (which reminds me, is their a sponsor forum here to post questions like this in perhaps?)

I leave a general signature and voicemail message so that you guy scan call anyone here. Im not always around the office. I travel with our race & show cars as well.

Anyway...18x8s are fine, but the offsets on the 9s dont work. They will stick out and rub. Wide wheels out back are kinda tricky unless you have a high offset.

Thanks for the answer, and damn I guess i'll have to pick out another wheel. What range of offsets would be "ideal" for 8" wheels up front and 9" in the rear?

Edit: Ok 48mm is stock offset, i've heard everything between 45mm and 55mm for the rear and 40 to 50 for the front. Not sure how valid this info is.
