squeel why do my tires squeel around corners? when i had my 96 ta, there was this one turn that says 45, but i could hit it at a good 70, and i was good to go. and that car was on stock tires and suspension, and they were bald tires at that. in my 99 formula, if i hit any turn remotely fast, all i hear is 'squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel'. sometimes its scary cause i dont know if im going to loose traction. and its not like im going unnecessarily (sp) fast or anything. the tires are fine, the car only has 23k on the clock as well. anyone??

The way the tire is 'mixed' with different rubber components. There are differnent tire compounds to make the tires soft, hard, good in wet traction, longer lasting, ect...

Well, yes. If your tires are squeeling around corners, that means they are on loosing traction.
A good idea would be to set all your tire pressures. Set them to 34PSI or so and see if that cures the squeel. An often overlooked thing on just about every car is tires and tire pressures.
What they were saying about tires, is that each tire is designed differently. High performance tires will wear faster, but will grip better. This is due to the softer/different types of rubber compounds.
