Default New Nitto's ???

I finally got my first set of Nitto's on my car 245/50/16 and was wondering what the reccomended pressure for running on the street was.

The guy installing them had them at 40 psi and they looked and drove funny so I let them down to about 25-26 Psi after doing a quick search here.

Just wondering if that's the proper pressure for daily driving on them.

Thanks.

I always drove with them right around where you have it now.... 24-26psi. At the track I took em down to 20psi and had great success with them.

I second that!! 24-26 psi is perfect in order to hook well. I had mine installed with 40 psi and was all over the road. Dropped the pressure to 26 psi. Excellent!!!

i kept my first set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's at 30 psi and they wore out in the center in 15k miles. that sucked cause those damn things were expensive!!!! i bought GY's and kept em at 24-26 and they did perfect, so i agree with the other guys on this one

Mine were SUPPOSED to be at 20 psi. They hook great for what they are on the streets. I checked my preasure the other day and my rears are both at 15 psi

Amazing though, my 15 psi drag radials handle better on pavement and rain than my old Kuhmo Ecsta Supra tires did at standard psi. Go figure

26 - 28 on the street. Better wear pattern at 26, handling feels better at 28.
