Question Street tires on the track???

I'm going to the track just for fun.
I have Nitto 555 on the car (see my sig) not much traction on the street.
Maybe too much power on street tires
When I launch I raise the rpm around 1100 and just drop the clutch it spins thru first gear and in second it still goes sideways they are still spinning.
If I raise more the rpm for launching I can't even go forward my car just sits and the rubbers are just burning. Don't even move.

The tire pressure is 30psi cold.
What if I lower the tire pressure will it help???
Buying drag radials is not an option. No money for them now
And HOW should I launch the beast ???
It will be my first time on the track. Just street races behind me.

launch the car at about 2000 and then adjust for tire spin. dont dump the clutch or you might as well not go at all. Slip it from 2k and you'll find better/worse spots throughout. i ran a 13.03 @ 109 with a bone stock car with eagle GA's on it driving that way. and powershifting helps, dont try it with a stock shifter though....

maybe manuals are different than autos, but I couldn't get traction at all the first time I took my car out with a lid a free mods, just kind of eased into it. Didn't take long till I was borrowing some other wheels and tires from a friend.

I run my DR's at 12psi but try 16-20 w/ the nitto's (I think they have a stiffer sidewall), start launching like your pulling out from a stop sign then work from there but remember to heat the tires good

yeah you hold down the gas the entire time....instead of lifting the gas..pressing the clutch..shifting...releasing clutch and on the gas....you just hold the gas...press clutch..shift...release...i wouldn't recommend this in second cause you'll spin a lot...its best to have an aftermarket shifter so you dont miss a gear...you'll end up spending a lot of money trying to fix the engine that you broke....also you have to be pretty fast so you don't end up hitting your rev limiter....the main purpose of this is to keep the rpms up so you end up in a nicer part of your power band when you shift to the next gear
