Black wheels on silver Formy????? *(PICS)*

I temporarily put some black wheels on my car to see what it'd look like. I normally run the chrome zr-1's in sig. Which do you like better and why?

I like the zr1 because they make the silver look a lot better in my opinion, black just takes away from the car. also I have a silver formy with zr1 and like it but just recently got me some TT2, I think they both look good on a formy but not to fond of black wheels man.

I'm not really diggin' the black wheels as much as the chrome...they just don't seem to show up well in this situation...they kinda "get lost" in the overall appearance...if that makes any sense?

Cobra R replica's. Was wondering how long it would take you guys to figure it out. Really doesn't look that bad, though. I bought the car with them already on, btw.

my buddy had a silver firebird tinted and had black zr1s on it...it was hot looking

Agreed. Polished lips are the key. Black/shiny/black. Then add some chrome caps.

I think the black wheels look better on darker cars. For lighter cars especially silver I think chrome or polished look the best because the car is so bright that even with silver painted wheels it makes them look dirty or dull.

Also I like my clear corners because the you don't have that orange and red reflectors on the side of the car. It is all clean and silver. I also run white bulbs in my DRL's to get rid of the orange day time lights.

Wow, thanks for the responses. I thought at least one person would like them. I thought they looked pretty stealth and tough. I actually got more compliments with the black wheels on than with the chrome's.

I'm a little biased on the chrome ZR1s but I've seen a few formulas with those cobra R looking wheels on them and they look nice, but they need to be glossier. Also the black takes away from your silver like a few others said.

Are they a shiny black or a flat black? i'm not sure if the pics make them look like that or not but i think they would look good with the polished lip also but otherwise not too bad.

Like it was said above if it was a chrome or polished lip with a glosss black center they would look good. I dont like them at all especially the flat black look.
But you do have a sweet looking car with the zr1's on.
