What tires to get???
What tires to get??? Hey guys, I'm really new to the GM side of things so please bare with me. I guess you'll be glad to here that I was a Mustang GT owner but traded it in for a 02' WS6 M6. Don't get me wrong I love both cars but I couldn't pass up the car after I test drove it. The car only had 3674 miles on it when I drove it off the lot and I got it for $24,700.00! I think that's a good deal what do you think??? Anyways I am about to put some Nitto's 555 R's on the car but I don't know what size to get. What do you think?
25k is kinda high for a trans am even with those low miles, but those are some really low miles! your'e lucky.
Your car came stock with 275/40/17 so go with that size at least. Alot of 4th gen f-body guys go to 315's if you want to get 10.5 or 11" rims in rear but that takes a BFH mod which is not hard but you might not want to do it.(Big F'n Hammer to inner fenderwells) Just ordered mine today and I'm am stoked
The 315's look sweet with the right offset, in my opinion 50-58, but at least 275s all the way around. I would definitely go with 285s or something bigger though, I mean why not?

I forgot, if your more drag oriented you can get more of a sidewall, 50 or 60. in the rear.
But if your'e like me and daily driving and therefore cornering is more important you should get the 555rII's(they have a stronger sidewall) in the stock size at all four corners.
