SS Wheel question

SS Wheel question Hoping osmone can help......just recently purchased an 02' SS with Chrome ZR1 rims. First, are those 17 x 9 or 17 x 9.5? What is the offset? The tires on it are 275x40x17......
Do they make a wider chrome ZR1 rim for the rear with an offset that will fit within the wheel well? I don't want anything sticking out.......where would I find them?
How big of a tire can I put on it? 295? 315? x 40 x 17.........
Any assistance is appreciated as I see a lot of F Body / lS1 knowledge flying around this site!

If they are the SLP add on wheels they are 17" x 9" with a 56 mm offset.
285/40ZR17 is the largests recommended tire for a 9" wheel.
You can buy 17" x 11" aftermarket ZR-1 style wheels with a 50 mm offset that fit on the F-Car, although some mods would more than likely be required.
Do a search and there is a plethora of info out there.
