Default clearcoat on wheels

Is there a way to remove the clear coat of a set of stock ws6 ta rims. I curbed two of them and had them fixed but the clear coat is gone so I want to remove the clear put new decals in the centers and then reshoot the clear. Any ideas on if this can be done or not would be great because Im kinda in a bind.

Im in no way the person to answer this question but I would think sanding them down with a fine grit would remove the clear. Then you can look into having a shop re-clear them ? I think they sell clearcloat in a spray can . Im probably wrong though :/

For my third gen wheels. I used a really strong stripper to get the clear off. This is a popular thing among the 3rd gen guys, since after a few years the clear starts peeling. Article on stripping and polishing wheels

My vote would be for some aircraft stripper, that stuff will strip anything off.
