Drag radials?

Drag radials? Well Its time to buy new tires. Right now im still on the stock rubber, and going with BFG 275/40/17`s. But I think its a good idea to invest in some drag radials. That way id save my tires at the track, and it a good excuse to drop a little time on the 1/4. Neways, i dont know anything about them. Anybody know what size i should go with? Price to expect? Millage to expect? Or performance gain? Please help!

Nittos' are your low cost choice on DR's although, they seem to run narrow . . . BFG make a good DR, and MT has entered the market.
Mileage wise appear 10,000 - 12,000 is the most you'd get. I am by no way an expert on DR's but I recommend using the search feature at the top, and you will find a wealth of knowledge.

Nitto = 12000 - 15000 on the street. Hook OK at the track.
BFG = 6000 - 8000 on the street. Hook good at the track
MT = low miles on the street, at least that's the opinion now. Hook the best at the track.
I guess it depends on what you want from the tire. I run Nitto DR on the street and change to MT slicks for the track.
